As of September 23, 2021, you will be able to come into the Foodbank to pick out your items. We will continue with having you call for an appointment time as this will ensure we are prepared ahead for the numbers and we can continue to offer more pick-up time options.

SOME REQUIREMENTS:

1. Please call ahead. The deadline of 12:00 noon the Tuesday before distribution stays the same. We will get back to you with your appointment time.

2. Please arrive at least 5 minutes prior to your appointment time.

3. You must be double vaccinated for at least 2 weeks before you will be allowed entry into the foodbank. Proof of vaccination will be required.

4. Masks and sanitizing upon arrival are required.

5. Your appointment lasts 15 minutes. There will be no waiting room available. Please wait outside until you are called in by the volunteer.

COVID UPDATE #8

We hope this update finds you all healthy and coping well with the constraints of the pandemic.

The Killarney and Area Foodbank will continue with the current system of distribution (bi-weekly, calling 2 days ahead of distribution day to order food and pick up at the door wearing a mask) until the pandemic is over. That being said, we have a few bits of information to share.

When you are calling to place your food order, please let us know if there are items you do not use or have enough of. We will not put them in your package so they don’t go to waste.

If there are any items you want/need, please let us know. If we have them, we will add them to your package.

Just follow your online banking instructions for e-transfers. They can be sent to: contact@killarneyfoodbank.com

If you want a donation receipt for an e-transfer, then please get in touch via email and let us know your mailing address.

Killarney Foodbank Garden

Volunteers recently worked hard to put together a vegetable garden for the benefit of foodbank clients. Thanks folks!

The garden was then named: The Prairie Patch

Our little patch of prairie grew enough fresh produce in 2020 to save a significant amount of money from our grocery bill.

Many thanks to Prairie Mountain Health's Healthy Together Now program for the funds to make this garden possible.
